The United Nations has decided to observe 24 January 2018 as the International Day of Education to emphasize the importance of education. To mark this day, the Ministry of Education of Qatar is organizing a week-long program from January 19 to 23.
This year’s theme is “Education is everyone’s responsibility.” These events will emphasize the critical role that education plays for peace and development.
Various programmes will be held in government and private schools. Students will be made aware of their social responsibility through workshops, exhibitions and competitions.
The aim of the programs is to strengthen the partnership between the Ministry, parents and various organizations. Activities are organized in collaboration with families. Students’ achievements will be showcased and new projects in schools will be shared.
On January 22, the ministry will host a special event where key issues such as the importance of artificial intelligence in the education sector and investment in the education sector will be discussed.
