The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has allowed car buyers to import cars directly from abroad. According to the new circular, which is more convenient for customers, it is allowed to import vehicles directly from abroad and provide full warranty and after-sales services.

According to the Circular No. 2025 (1) issued under the Consumer Protection Act of 2008, customers must import vehicles directly in compliance with the Gulf Standard Specifications. At the same time, dealers in Qatar must comply with all warranty conditions provided by the dealers.

In addition, the vehicle must be provided with the necessary services, spare parts and maintenance services. Unnecessary delay in providing warranty services should also be avoided. The ministry has warned that dealers who do not implement these actively will face legal action.
