Qatar has announced its budget for fiscal year 2025. Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari announced that the total revenue expected in Qatar’s budget for next year is 197 billion riyals (19,700 crore Qatari riyals). Estimates of oil and gasoline natural gas revenues in 2025 are 154 billion riyals. This is 3.1 per cent less compared to the R159 billion in the 2024 budget, he said.
The finance minister also confirmed that the allocation for the health and education sectors is Rial 41.4 billion, which is 20% of the total budget. Salary and wage allocation for 2025 increased by 5.5 percent compared to 2024 to reach RIAL 67.5 billion. The core capital budget was increased by 1.4 per cent to support the continued implementation of developmental projects.
Necessary allocations have been made to promote sustainable development and key sectors such as trade and industry, research, tourism and technology.
