Day 1 – Doha Qatar

On the day you arrive in Qatar, no matter what time you arrive, check in to your hotel and freshen up and head straight to the Doha Souk, Souq Waqif. You can celebrate your first day in Doha here.

Souq Waqif is like a market, where you can find spices, clothes, hardware stores, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and many more. You can wander around all the little alleys, have a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. Here you can see falcons and other animals. There are some interesting performances to watch in the square. If you want to see camels, you can see them right behind the souk.

Here you can taste Middle Eastern dishes from one of the local restaurants. Are you interested in buying gold? The gold market in Doha is located opposite Souq Waqif, just a short walk away and is called the Gold Souq.

Day 2 – Doha Qatar

Morning in Doha

Start your day with a coffee amidst the skyscrapers of the Corniche. In front of every skyscraper in the middle of the city, there is a cafe where you can grab a coffee or breakfast, then head to the other side of the Corniche to the souq. It is a walk that you can take to get to know Doha better. There are also good photo points with benches, palm trees and cafes to rest for those who want to take great photos.

After a 7 km walk, you will reach the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) and their newly opened museum and the Museum of Modern Art, which is a large architectural building. Spend some time at one of these museums, and head to the MIA Museum for a stunning view of the Doha skyline. Here you will have the opportunity to take some great photos.

Lunch in Doha

To the right of the MIA Museum is a large park area, follow the walkway that takes you through the park, and you will reach the water, where there is a cafe where you can have lunch or stay. This is a great photo spot for those who want to take some great pictures with the Doha skyline in the background!

If you want to have lunch at a restaurant, take a taxi from the MIA Museum to the City Center Shopping Mall in the middle of the city and have lunch at the Italian restaurant Biella or the upscale restaurant PAULS, which has great food.

After lunch, either stroll around the City Center Shopping Mall for a while or take a taxi to Pearl Island and walk around there. The taxi will stop at the entrance and walk from there. You will find clothing stores, car dealers, restaurants and cafes. Pearl Island is shaped like a horseshoe, and in the circle it is a large marina, with many luxury boats. Walk along the marina, you can walk around here and enjoy the sunset.
