The fifth edition of the Flower Exhibition, organized by the Souq Waqif Administration in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality’s Agricultural Affairs Department, began yesterday morning (December 4). The exhibition is held at Souq Waqif’s Western Square and is open to the public from 9 am to 10 pm and on Fridays from 4 pm to 10 pm.
This 12-day exhibition features 24 farms and nurseries specializing in fruit plants, vegetable saplings, ornamental plants, and decorative trees. This year, the exhibition space has been designed uniquely, featuring a landscaped garden and a rose waterfall along with all necessary facilities.
Mohammed Al Salem, the General Supervisor of the Exhibition, stated that the Ministry of Municipality has selected 24 farms and nurseries to showcase saplings, ornamental plants, flowers, pesticides, and fertilizers in this fifth edition of the Flower Exhibition. He emphasized that the event aims to bring local nurseries under one roof and boost sales, especially during the current weather, which is favourable for agriculture.
The exhibition also aims to introduce the public to local institutions in the flower industry, including farms, nurseries, and companies, helping to promote their work in the sector, he added.
