The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has decided to acquire a significant minority stake in Sauber Holding AG, Audi’s future factory team. Through this investment, QIA will ensure long-term involvement and partnership in Audi’s Formula 1 project.

QIA’s capital injection will strengthen the team’s infrastructure and development, laying the foundation for long-term success in Formula 1.

This move aligns with QIA’s strategy of prioritizing investments with long-term growth potential. Formula 1 is a rapidly growing sport with significant opportunities for global expansion, increased fan engagement, and commercialization.

With technical regulation changes set for 2026, Audi will officially enter Formula 1 with a factory team. Facilities in Neuburg and Hinwil will undergo further enhancements to meet the required standards.
