In the latest FIFA World Cup rankings released yesterday (Friday) by the international football governing body, Qatar’s national football team has been placed in the 48th position. Qatar, which had 1,478.6 points in the previous rankings, now holds 1,474.6 points, marking a drop of two places.
Morocco leads among Arab nations (14th globally), followed by Egypt (33rd globally), Algeria (37th globally), and Tunisia (52nd globally). Qatar ranks fourth in the Arab world.
In Asia, Qatar is fifth, with Japan leading (15th globally), followed by Iran (18th globally), South Korea (23rd globally), and Australia (26th globally).
Argentina continues to hold the top spot in the FIFA rankings with 1,867.25 points, followed by France in second place and Spain in third. England ranks fourth, Brazil fifth, Portugal sixth, and the Netherlands seventh. Belgium is in eighth place, Italy ninth, and Germany completes the top ten.
