Qatar-Kenya Cooperation Strengthens: Qatar Launches Job Recruitment for 8,000 Kenyans

In an effort to provide employment opportunities for 8,000 Kenyans across various sectors in Qatar, interviews were conducted last Friday in Nairobi. Thousands of Kenyans, eager to secure work in Qatar, participated in the recruitment interviews held in the capital city.

Supervised by Labour and Social Protection Secretary Alfred Mutua, candidates gathered at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) and Kabete National Polytechnic for the interviews.

“There was a tremendous turnout of Kenyans for the interviews. Your efforts to take advantage of this opportunity are commendable,” Mutua stated.

Kenyans interested in working in Qatar will not be charged any fees for interviews or other recruitment procedures. All expenses related to medical exams, visa processing, air travel, and other costs will be covered by Qatari firms.

Earlier this month, the Qatar-Kenya Joint Labour Committee held a meeting in Nairobi to enhance cooperation and streamline the recruitment of Kenyan workers. The meeting was co-chaired by Qatar’s Minister of Labour, Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, and Kenya’s Labour Minister, Alfred Mutua.
